Square Appointments is Square’s appointment scheduler bundled with card processing + POS. Zellbox adds WhatsApp reminders via the Google Calendar sync Square already provides.
How it works
- In Square Appointments → Settings → Calendar & Booking → Google Calendar Sync → enable.
- In Zellbox → Onboarding step 2 → connect the same Google Calendar.
- Every Square Appointments booking appears on your calendar. Zellbox fires WhatsApp reminders automatically.
What Zellbox adds beyond Square’s built-in reminders
- WhatsApp channel — Square sends SMS + email; WhatsApp isn’t in its stack. Zellbox adds the WhatsApp layer on top of Square’s own notifications, so nothing about the existing reminder schedule has to change.
- Higher delivery rate in WhatsApp-first markets (LATAM, Southern Europe, MENA, SEA). Customers in those regions frequently screen or ignore SMS from unfamiliar numbers, while a WhatsApp message from a saved business contact gets opened.
- Signed consent PDFs for services requiring them. The consent PDF is captured the first time a customer replies and stored on their record, which removes a manual intake step at the counter.
- Two-way replies land in your Zellbox inbox. A customer’s reply to reschedule or cancel is visible to staff instead of arriving as an SMS reply no one is watching.
